Born and bred in Swansea. Played rugby for Swansea R.F. Club at Youth Level. Served in RNVR and National Service in The Royal Navy. Spent working life in the legal profession following time at Swansea University and The Law Society College of Law. Member and Ex-Chairman of Mumbles Community Council; School Governor; Chairman of Mumbles and South Gower Branch of the Royal British Legion; Chairman of the Swansea Fund Raising Branch RNLI; Founder and Ex-Chairman Newton Friendship Club for Senior Citizens in the Mumbles Area; Member of numerous naval associations including The Institute of Seamanship.
